I haven’t ordered from them in many years, but when it came time for some new rear brakes on the Odyssey, I shopped them along with a few others. Only RA and Amazon had the particular brakes and rotors I was looking for.
Not only was RA cheaper by about $15 all in, they packed and shipped in about an hour . Parts should be here Tuesday. Amazon was looking at late next week, and the parts were coming from two different vendors.
Yes, it’s always nice to see there are things Amazon can’t do very well (even without COVID delays).

Yeah, I’ve been ordering direct from vendors lately (FCP Euro, Pelican Parts) and they’ve been doing pretty good on delivery times.

Amazon has been doing pretty well at getting things to me sooner than promised. I think they’ve got a least a day of slack in their order timeline.

One thing I miss about having an all-Euro fleet is that there are a LOT more sources for parts.
So when stuff breaks 5x more frequently, I have 10x the options of where to buy stuff :D

I’ve had the same experience lately — we still do 2-3 orders a week from Amazon, basically all year round. I’m just always happy to find something they’re not particularly
good at (for example, they couldn’t easily help me understand the
brake options or even match proper fitment).

We ordered from RA a few weeks back, for the...4th time, I think...both front wiper blades, rear wiper blade (that can’t be found in stores, for some reason), and air and cabin filters for our ‘16 HR-V.
Both boxes showed up in less than two days after order. First showed up the next day, the other less than 24 hours later.
Also building the magnet collection. Got an Audi wagon and a Gremlin. They’re all lined up in order with the Lexus drift car, El Camino, T-Bird and Lotus 7 (which I think might actually be a Caterham, not 100% sure). :)

I f you still want to use A mazon. You can look up the part number on Rock Auto and search for it on A mazon.

Exactly what I had to do!

With all the shit in the news about Amazon warehouse workers and the company's response to coronavirus, I’ve been trying to order stuff elsewhere when feasible. But I just had an Amazon delivery today of a few items because that was the best option.

I really like ordering from specialty shops that understand the products they sell . Amazon is convenient if you don’t need any guidance, but I’d hate to lose the places that actually can guide me, so I’d rather pay more to support them.
Although it’s not always more, which hurrah.

I use rockauto a lot. So does the volunteer group I work with. We have only had a couple issues with incorrect parts or bad parts, and they always resolve any issues very quickly and we have returned items that were way past their return dates without issues as well. I highly recommend. Also did to get a 5% off discount code? A quick google search will get you one of those too.

I’m with you on RockAuto. They tend to be cheaper, have a wider variety, and most importantly for my particular situation, they ship to APOs. I will say though, that I wish they would expand to the European marketplace. You have no idea how hard it is to get parts for a 2010 Mits ubishi Colt, even in Europe, where they were built.

Everyone should do that, Amazon has dismal customer service. They used to be the leader, I’d say they’ve gradually become the worst. I’m not referring to lately, I’m using the last two years as an example. They suck.
